Courage to Paint

In 2009, I helped a friend that was finishing his life, by helping him paint a landscape scene that he had always wanted to paint, yet never had the courage.

I bought him supplies and would go to his house after work to hold his brush in his hand, choose his colors and guide his strokes.

I had never seen such a strong man cry so much.

He passed away before we could finish it.

This experience with him was an incredible gift to me. I think this was a very important time in establishing my personal path in an art career.
